LIVE SOUND ENGINEER
I've been a musician my entire life. I've been releasing music under my own project called Rugby since I was 15 years old. Because of this, I understand exactly what it's like to be on stage, exactly what the audience needs to hear and exactly what it means to communicate music and emotion through sound.
After many years of performing, recording, and mixing my own music, my friends starting asking me to do the same for them. I started mixing the shows that my friends were performing in. I started recording and mixing their records. All very DIY at first. Over the years I started to see the possibility that mixing could become my job.
I've been a full-time freelance sound engineer for over 10 years now. I've been an FOH engineer on many concerts, music festivals, a few churches, and lot of corporate events. I would say my background keeps me well rounded.
I've mixed on Sd9's, Pro-2's, CL5's, Dlive's, and Profiles.
I've attended workshops for D&B J, V, and KSL line array systems. As well as one for SMAART V8.
DJ SERVICES
I wouldn't describe myself as a typical DJ. As a musician and Live Sound Engineer, my goal with DJ-ing is to play music that inspires me and has helped me to become who I am as an artist and engineer. I wouldn't say I'm a music snob (...) but I have a deep understanding of music and the history behind it. I spin a combination of vinyl records and digital music and can customize playlists to fit your personal style. I've DJ-ed over 50 weddings, as well as other kinds of events and local bars. My collection ranges from Frank Sinatra to The Temptations to Whitney Houston to Daft Punk to Dr. Dre and Doja Cat. My personal favorite artists are Deerhoof, The Bad Plus and Toto. Because of my background as a live sound engineer, I can bring consistency and quality to an event, more than an average DJ.

Wedding DJ rates begin at $1750. Other events begin at $300/hr but I’m flexible with rates if it’s something I’m passionate about. I'd love to be a part of your event.

I've been a musician my entire life. I've been releasing music under my own project called Rugby since I was 15 years old. It has always been my primary interest and focus. I have always written my own songs and recorded and mixed my own music. I find it to be an extension of the music and can reflect the vision of the artist on the deepest level imaginable. I can truly say I have a very high level understanding of the technical and artistic side of music making. I'm not just a guy who can make things sound good. I am the guy that can help rearrange the chords in the verse. I'm the guy who can get your snare drum to sound right. I'm the guy that gets your vision and helps shape it into something even more focused and spectacular. I also spend a lot of energy looking for when to stay out of the way! It's called a collaboration. I like to inspire the people I work with. I'm super passionate about creating music and it goes way beyond the dollar amount.

I have been a full-time sound engineer and AV technician since 2012, but really it’s been a passion of mine since I was in high school when I would run sound for my friend’s bands and my own band!
